The Devils Lies

    To start off I would like to say sorry for the delay for the past few weeks, I have been trying to think of what to say. This past weekend I attended Hearts on Fire which was an amazing experience, one of the speakers talked about lies and the most common lies so that inspired to me to write this today. Today I will help you put the devils lies to rest.

     Lies. Do we believe them? Yes we do, we believe the lies that originated from the devil. We believe when we accept them. We believe the lie when the devil tells us that we are worthless, and we will never amount to anything. He tells us that we are ugly and no one wants us and that we will always be alone, but that’s always a lie because God is always with us.
    The bible says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
    The most common lie that I hear from teenager and adults today is that they are ugly. We need to stop and think  every time that we put our selves down and only point out our in perfections we are putting Gods creation and his works down telling him that he messed up. I struggled with this lie more times than I can count but someone told me to read the scripture from psalm 139, and that I needed to write it down on a sticky note and put it on a mirror so that every morning that I look at it and it will remind me that I am made in Gods image.
     The bible says, "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully ad wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14
     Another lie is that we will never amount to anything, or that you will never be successful we will always loose. As long as we have God on our side we will never loose because in Gods eyes we will always be winners. In y opinion we will always win as long as we have Gods love and compassion and to know that we are saved and set free makes me feel like a winner.
   The bible says, "But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Corinthians 15:57
    These lies are just some of the few, but I do believe these are some of the most common or at least the most common ones that we have heard. The point of this post is to let you all know that no matter what lie the devil tells you, you have the power of God over you to help you put the lie to ease. Am I saying that it is easy no but it is easier with Gods love, compassion, help ,peace and power, because no matter what the devil will l never over power the Lord. This week I challenge you to share this message, and look in the mirror and make a change. This message could change someone's life, God could change someone's life through this message.

Self confidence

      Self confidence. How many people struggle with this issue. I know I do,this is one of my biggest struggles. This week I will try and help people get through it and hopefully you will make a break through.
      For me I needed someone to help me, help me to get through the pain. Just the other day I was crying because I thought that I could never be good enough I thought some of the basic thoughts like, I was too fat, to ugly, to stupid to many spots on my face. Then I had a great and God loving women who showed me that every time that I put myself down I was downing Gods creation. She said that it does not matter what I look like on the outside but what I look like on the inside. Because you can be beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside, and that the inside is all that mattered. She told me to read the chapter of psalms 193, and it says.
“even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.” (Psalm 139:12-14)
      This scripture taught me that the only  approval that I need was God’s and he made the way that I am and all that matters is that I have him in my heart and show his love to others. It matter what I look like on the inside, what God sees that is all that matters.So we need to stop seeking others approval and care about what God sees. We need to have confidence in our delve and show the love of Christ, because people look up to us even when we don’t know it.

Gods servants

    Hello everyone welcome back this week I was blessed to be able to go to Albany Georgia to do disaster relief with sameritains purse. I met so many amazing people that loved Christ and also got to help some people in Jesus name.
    This week we will be talking about how to be a faithful servant. In order to be a faithful servant we have to trust and be willing to go when God says go. We have to listen to what god says and be willing to obey.
    If we are willing to obey our good deeds done here on earth he will remember,and if we help and love his people and continue to help people than he will reward us because he is fair he is a fair God. We have to help people through God’s will and we have to be selfless in order to help them completely.
    “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10
    Because we are free we are able to serve, but some people don’t use their freedom in the right way. We are supposed to use our freedom to surve God and be a light into the world but instead we use it to do worldly stuff like parties. If we become worldly we will destroy each other. We have to love each other as we love ourselves.
    “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.” Galatians 5:13
    “If you bite and devour each other, watch out or you will be destroyed by each other.” Galatians 5:15
    “For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as your self. ”” Galatians 5:14
    This week remember this and try to be a faithful serving for the lord and you will be blessed.Thank you for reading and please share this with someone.

Never Alone

    Welcome back everyone! I hope everyone has enjoyed their week so far. Today I am going to ask you a question. Have you ever felt like you where alone, or that when everything was falling down on you and nothing was going right that there was no one to help you through it? Well there is.
    Our lives are a journey we go through highs and we go through lows, we fall into sin and give into temptation but no matter what there has been someone there to love us, to forgive us. So many people have doubted this, they believe that there was no one there for them when they needed it and they have taken their lives because of it. Now someone reading this may ask, what does this have to do with us, you can share the love of Christ and the truth of Christ to help people know that they are not alone, we can save lives.
     We have a God that is there to catches us when we fall and to lift us back us. A God who is forgiving a God who will and has been through our journey the whole way and that will never change. We have a God who died for us so that every sinful man could live. Just think about that for a minute that we have a living God who died and forgave us for our sins before he even know us.
    “God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.”‭‭Psalms‬ ‭46:1‬ ‭ What this means is that we take shelter and we get our strength from our father. So when we are in a low or rough spot God gives us the strength to get out of it and thrive.
    “The name of Jehovah is a strong tower; The righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”Proverbs‬ ‭18:10‬ ‭We take shelter in God because he alone is strong and safe, God is peace.And some people choose to ignore this and choose to listen to the devil that they have no one. They have no one with them to support them or to love them for who they are and what they have done. But in reality that do, they have God.
    “Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be affrighted at them: for Jehovah thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬  Or God is with us always, he will be there when you turn around and when forsake him. God has our backs he will never leave you nor will he forsake you. He is the one and only person you can trust.
    “fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah‬ ‭41:10‬ ‭ God will always be our strength and he will always hold us up in righteousness no matter what we do or what we are going through.
    So the moral of this message is that our strength comes from Jesus Christ and he will never leave us or forsake us. That we are never alone because God is always there with you every step of the way. All we have to do is believe and accept and share the word and truth of Christ with others. I hope very one has a blessed week ,and thanks for reading.

God‘s beautiful creation

   Hello everyone I would like to apologize for the delay on the post I have been sick and very busy. I would also like to say that I will be trying my best to post every Sunday afternoon.
   Today we will be talking about how we are not all perfect,we all have our flaws even though we might not want admit it. Thinking that we are perfect and that there perfect people out there can hold us back from being bold in our faith with Christ. A good analogy that I think is very true is that we are all like clay and God is our potter. He built us out of nothing but a blob of dirt and he sculpted us and let us dry. And when we sin we were chipped,but God forgave us and molded us back and when we are out in the world trying to be bold in Christ people put us down and chip us.
    When you are walking through a store buying things  and you see a piece of pottery that is chipped most people would think that is messed up and broken but God would think that it was beautifuly broken and that is how he sees us. He does not see us as damaged goods not worth anything he sees us as something that is hurt and could be fixed he sees us as beautifully broken people.
     The scripture Jeremiah 18:6 says “O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith Jehovah. Behold, as the clay in the potter’s hand, so are ye in my hand, O house of Israel.” Which means that we thinks of us as clay and he can always help and fix us he is there for us to remold us.
    Some more scripture that I have found is “But now, O Jehovah, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.”  Isaiah‬ ‭64:8‬. This passage tells of the people telling our father that we want him to be our potter and rebuild us, so that we can work out of his hand.
     One more verse is “Behold, I am toward God even as thou art: I also am formed out of the clay.”
‭‭Job‬ ‭33:6. This is proof that we were all formed in the same way from the same material,and by the same person.
      So why? Why do people judge people by there imperfections. Why do we look down on people God’s own creation. We may all look perfect from the outside but we are all broken on the inside and the lord our father says that we are all beautifully broken. We don’t realize that some of the people that break us down and chip us are some of the people that are going through the same things as us, Christians. Why do we do this to other people, because it makes us feel better about ourselves but what we don’t realize is we make other people feel badly about themselves and that is not what a Christian, Gods child, is supposed to do.
       When you go through this week we need to think about our actions what we do and how we make people feel. Are we tearing people down to make ourselves feel better or are we building people up so that we can make ourselves feel better the right way. We have to remind ourselves to treat people the way that we want to be treated, and remember that we are not the only people who have feelings and no one is perfect inside or out. So we have to stop picking at peoples imperfections and start building people up for the good things about them just as Jesus would do. So when you are stuck ask yourself WWJD?

Introduction

     Welcome to my new blog! First I want to start off by thanking everyone who is joining me and reading the daily struggles of living the life of a teenage Christian, and how the Bible can help us through it. Secondly I want tell you a little more about me and why I wanted to start this blog.
      To start off my name is Ashlee Hill, I have been a Christian for 2 years now and I have struggled with things just like everyone else has, but that has only made my relationship with Christ stronger. Am I saying that living your life as a professed Christian is easy.. Oh no, if anything it is harder. What I am saying is that when you do have a hard time and struggle you can give it to God and he will make it easier.
       One thing that I will share is my testimony, because I believe you guys can really get to know me through it. Growing up in church my whole life I thought that all I had to do was say a prayer and I would go to heaven. So I did I prayed and it meant nothing to me. When my family and I moved churches my older brother went up to the alter to pray and so I thought oh he is older he knows what he is doing so I followed him and when he said that he had gotten saved I thought ok so I said that I did also, and again it meant nothing. A few years latter my friends from my church had kept asking me to go to camp jubilee with them and they kept asking me until finally one day I gave in and said yes. Our third day up their we were in morning bible study in the chapel on the hill and we where all asked to share our testimonies and I waited last so I had to share mine the next day. The whole rest of the day I spent my time rehearsing what I would say until it was evening worship. when brother Mark was done preaching we went into invitation and all of the sudden I looked down and I was literally griping the pew. So I asked my youth leader Melissa if I could talk to her when we had gotten outside she had asked me what was going on I told her that I did not know and that is when she told me something that I will never forget she said, "that her God is not a confusing God". That night on July 13th I accepted Christ as my lord and savoir and I will never forget that feeling. After we got back it was like the world just hit me and I have struggled ever sense that day but my lord and savior has made my life worth it.
         That is my testimony and I hope that you have taken something away form this or that you share this with someone. I ask everyone who reads this to please send this link to a friend or family member that needs to read and see this. Also I would love to hear all of your testimonies, please feel to share them.

Verse of the day: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
